Andrea Miller
Engineering/Manufacturing Teacher

Ms. Miller is teaching Project Lead the Way: Engineering Design & Development, Intro to Manufacturing, & Intro to Transportation. She graduated from Ball State University with a BFA- Metals & BS- Art Education and also earned her MFA in Metals from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.

Andrea loves being outdoors, running, paddle boarding, riding her bike, walking her dog, traveling, & going camping. She describes herself as a "maker" and loves to make things: metalsmithing, knitting, sewing, building/construction, baking, etc.

When asked to add anything else that's interesting about herself, she says:

I really like avocados, chai lattes, & sparkling water. My dog is super cute. Teaching brings together my love of making things, the joy I find in building relationships, and an opportunity to impact my community.

This summer I drove over 7000 towing my little vintage camper, LeRoy, all through the SouthWest as part of my Lilly Grant Fellowship. I spent the year previous to the trip completely rebuilding the camper from the frame up.

My most current project is a collaboration with my dear friend, Amelia. We are putting together a three-part art exhibition at the Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca, New York. In 2020 the exhibition will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment awarding women the right to vote.
