Mrs. Heinsman’s Honors Introduction to Accounting students had the opportunity to celebrate a recent testing achievement yesterday morning, in addition to hearing from a special guest speaker.

These students were rewarded with a chai, hot chocolate, and cookies party because they worked so diligently to score almost all A’s on a huge test- no one scored below a B+!

Former WCHS/WACC Valedictorian (Class of 2015) and current finance student at Indiana University, Jake Mangas, shared an encouraging & inspiring message with the students about his experiences in school & in the business world.

Congrats to these accounting students and special thanks to Jake for stopping by to visit us!!

Research over the last decade has shown that high school students perform better academically when the school start time is no earlier than 8:30.  Studies have also shown that starting school earlier has little/no impact for elementary age students.

Warsaw Community Schools would like your feedback on how changing the start/end times would impact you.

The new start and end times for the schools would be approximately

Elementary: 7:40-2:40 (+/- 10 minutes)

Secondary: 8:30-3:40 (+/- 10 minutes)

WCS is in the investigative process to see if this would be the best fit for our community.  Your input is greatly appreciated in our research.

Here is the information regarding the various surveys.  Survey submission ends Dec 22.

The Warsaw FFA Chapter has teamed up with the Kosciusko County Combined Community Services to help with their Adopt-a-Family program again this year. We have adopted a family in the community to make their Christmas merry and bright. The Warsaw FFA Chapter and Agriculture Department has started to collect donations for the family. There are two Christmas trees in the Warsaw Community High School Agriculture rooms with ornaments labeled with items for the adopted family. FFA members and students are pitching in to make this family’s Christmas one to remember and so they can enjoy their time with family.

Respectfully submitted,

Taryn Whetstone, Adopt-a-Family Committee Chair; Warsaw FFA Chapter
