I am proud to be a teacher at Warsaw Community High School and the Warsaw Area Career Center. I have been in education 34 years spending time both in the classroom and as a guidance counselor. Encouraging young people to reach their full potential and plan for a successful future is a passion for me.

Mrs. Carmichael's Fashion & Textile students recently made gifts for presenters at next year's N.E.W. Conference.

For directions on how to make this project and many others, visit Mrs. Carmichael's website:

Mrs. Carmichael's Careers classes are practicing interviewing skills. They will watch a video of their own interview to evaluate how they can improve before going to a real interview.

These students joined Mrs. Carmichael and Mrs. Heagy during last Thursday's enrichment to knit.  Several know how to knit and worked on current projects; others learned to knit.  There are so many benefits to knitting and it is a joy to be with those who love to knit! Their time together went way too fast!!

Mrs. Carmichael's second semester Fashion & Textiles students have done a wonderful job creating a pillowcase.  Each pillowcase reflects the student's creativity and personality.  Great job on your first project students!!!

This young lady completed Fashion & Textiles I this past semester.  She is passionate about sewing and Theater.  While sewing and creating this costume was a huge undertaking, she worked tirelessly to finish it in time for the State Theater competition. She was awarded an Excellence ribbon in Costume Construction.  Warsaw Thespians also received 19 other ribbons in other events.  Congratulations to Wakelyn and all of our other amazing theater students!
