Fashion & Textiles have been learning about the difference between woven and knit fabrics. They have learned to knit and weave and the projects they have produced are as individual as the students. It has been a fun way to express creativity while learning new skills.



Kierra, who is taking Fashion & Textiles this semester, saw a need, had an idea and enriched our school community this week. After a recent visit to the nurse, Kierra found that there were no heating pads available to students. She decided to create reusable bags that can be heated and used to reduce pain. Nurse Megan was thankful for this generous donation. Thanks, Kierra, for enriching the lives of others at WACC/WCHS!!!
The Family & Consumer Sciences Advisory Council composed of many community members & WACC staff, met this week for a fall planning discussion session. Students in current FACS classes were also able to attend and showcased projects they are currently working on.  



The Blue Apron Chef's Whim this week is a Parmesan-crusted Pork Chop:  A center cut,bone-in chop seared, then roasted served with demi-glace, whipped potatoes, and honey glazed carrots.

From the bakery, we will feature Pumpkin Cheesecake:  Presented with fresh whipping cream and toasted pecans.
