Kierra, who is taking Fashion & Textiles this semester, saw a need, had an idea and enriched our school community this week. After a recent visit to the nurse, Kierra found that there were no heating pads available to students. She decided to create reusable bags that can be heated and used to reduce pain. Nurse Megan was thankful for this generous donation. Thanks, Kierra, for enriching the lives of others at WACC/WCHS!!!
Mrs. Carmichael's Fashion and Textile students completed their first project, a pillow-case.  Many students had never used a sewing machine before taking this class.  They are learning many new skills and are doing a great job!

Grayson finished all of her projects this semester and chose to make a cute pair of shorts in her remaining time in Fashion & Textiles! Mrs. Carmichael's students have learned so many great skills this semester!!  Happy summer sewing, all!
Mrs. Carmichael's Fashion & Textile students recently made gifts for presenters at next year's N.E.W. Conference.

For directions on how to make this project and many others, visit Mrs. Carmichael's website:

Advanced Fashion Textile Students had fun with Sweatshirt Construction! These students worked on a personal construction project making their own sweaters. They altered them to fit their unique style needs.
