Mr. Paseka's Welding Technology II students competed at the 39th AWS Midwest Welding competition last Thursday & Friday in Indianapolis, hosted by J.Everett Light Career Center. This was the first year the Warsaw Area Career Center competed in this competition and as a school, Warsaw placed 15th out of 26 teams. Students in attendance were: Taylor Cassel, Kody Ogan, Seth Conley, Brandon McCord, & Kole Komedeur. Individually, Taylor placed 5th & Kody placed 6th overall. Congratulations & great job guys!

Taylor Cassel, advanced welding student, carefully monitors progress on the largest cutting project so far for WACC welding. Taylor designed and programmed our CNC Plasma cutter to make a geodesic dome fire pit. The total inches of travel and cut is 5,000 and will take about 3 hours of cut time to complete. The final picture shows the progress of the cuts thus far on the computer. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Our Welding Technology students made this cut-out that was presented to a guest at the Wagon Wheel Theater this past Saturday. Staff Sergeant Clint Romesha, who is a Medal of Honor recipient and an author, joined Craig Morgan on the stage for his American Stories Tour. We are so proud of our students for their continued support to servicemen & women!

A local Army Veteran was also given a huge surprise that evening. Check out more of the details of this wonderful event here:
