Inspire College of Cosmetology students & WCHS/WACC seniors hosted the First Annual Cut-A-Thon this past Saturday. Hair cuts were only $5 and all proceeds went towards their upcoming trip to the Cleveland Hair Show. They raised enough money for two students to have their trip completely paid for! Way to go girls!! Special thanks to all friends, family, and community members for their support in attending the Cut-A-Thon!

Tsige Berelsman, 2017 WCHS Graduate & Inspire College of Cosmetology School student, had the opportunity to cut the hair of WCHS employee & WACC mom, Margie Remocaldo, last week- which she chose to donate to a local charity that makes wigs for patients with hair loss. Thanks Tsige & Margie for continuing to live out the WCS mission statement by enriching the lives of others!
Warsaw Area Career Center Director, Ronna Kawsky, was proud to honor Krista Metzger today as the first Cosmetology Academy graduate from WCHS/WACC. Krista not only earned dual credit & completed the state licensing exam to earn her certification, but will also graduate with Technical Honors next Friday evening. She even has already been offered a job at a local salon. Congratulations, Krista! The WACC is so proud of you!
Some of our Warsaw Area Career Center Cosmetology students attended the America's Beauty Show in Chicago, IL. on 3/27/17. Aside from having a fantastic time, these young women learned about various styling products and the best uses for them depending on which hair issue they're tackling. They felt the techniques they saw and were shown will be beneficial to apply to their in class instruction. Many of them expressed that a couple of days at the event would have given them more time to see and learn so much more. We are all so excited to see these students excel and apply their skills to their clients needs.
