Yesterday our Culinary students learned how to filet fish from WACC Director Ronna Kawsky's dad, Mr. Ronald Boyd! He is here this week visiting and to help with the fish fry during Parent-Teacher Conferences for our Career Center teachers. We are so thankful for not only the time he spent catching the fish and for theinvestment he makes into teaching our students new skills, but also for the help he provides in appreciating our awesome teachers! Thank you, Mr. Boyd!
SNEAK PEEK into our Blue Apron Menu for the 2017-2018 school year. Our official Grand Opening to the public will be on Tuesday, October 31st. Our culinary students have been busy preparing & are looking forward to serving you!
The Blue Apron Restaurant is a student-run full-service restaurant, open Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 11am-1pm.
Chef Bragg's Advanced Culinary Arts & Culinary Arts and Hospitality students have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming opening of the Blue Apron Restaurant. The advanced students received their new uniforms, practiced with different bread recipes as a new addition to the menu, and have been helping show the first year students the ropes in the kitchen. Keep checking back for updates regarding the opening date of the restaurant!
Earlier this week, the Warsaw Fire Department visited our culinary students in the Blue Apron to teach about fire extinguisher safety training. The students also had the opportunity to prepare, serve, and eat lunch with the firemen present. Special thanks to WFD for their support & help with so many things around the WACC!
