It's beginning to look a lot like Spring Time in Landscape Management class! Mrs. Kincaid's students have been busy this week planting trees in the Career Center courtyard. We appreciate their hard work in helping to make this area so beautiful!
WACC/WCHS students:You're invited to College 101, next Thursday, 6-8pm, at Ivy in Tech Warsaw. This event is for all high school students Sophomore-Senior, who may have any questions about college admission, dual credit, financial aid, 21st Century Scholars, anything! This event is for everyone, even if they have a different school in mind for after graduation. We want to answer student's questions about college, and help them to feel more confident about preparing for college! It's a great opportunity for all students, whether they are interested in Ivy Tech, another school, going straight into the career field, and those who do not know what they want to do after high school. See the attached flyer for RSVP and event information. Parents are welcome!College-101--Ivy-Tech-Warsaw.pdf
This past Monday, Mrs. Lancaster's Adult Roles & Responsibilities students participated in their own community-led interviews. Local business owners & community members helped conduct interviews with our students to help sharpen their interview skills & critique their resumes. Special thanks to our interviewers who took time out of their busy schedules to invest in our students!
Principles of Marketing students recently completed ice cream business marketing projects. The students worked in groups to develop business plans for their own ice cream parlors, complete with unique ingredients, business names, specials, pricing, target age groups, advertisement strategies, etc. Several WCS staff, parents, & community members had the opportunity to participate in judging each group in various categories. All of the students did such a wonderful job with these projects & it was amazing to see how talented they truly are. Great job everyone!
