Tsige Berelsman, 2017 WCHS Graduate & Inspire College of Cosmetology School student, had the opportunity to cut the hair of WCHS employee & WACC mom, Margie Remocaldo, last week- which she chose to donate to a local charity that makes wigs for patients with hair loss. Thanks Tsige & Margie for continuing to live out the WCS mission statement by enriching the lives of others!
Our Cosmetology students are practicing with color treatments this week. They have been using their manequins to refine the skills they've learned with high-lighting, toner, and color treatments. Today they tested strips of hair with bleach products and will continue to practice throughout this week.
This past Saturday our Inspire College of Cosmetology students hosted their first Fall Festival. They offered free hairstyles, face painting, games, food, and fun to many members of our community. Students and guests alike took advantage of the opportunity to dress up and fun was had by all. Thank you to not only the students for working so hard to organize such a wonderful event, but also to all those who attended!
Mrs. Kawsky, WACC Director, had a pink hair extension put in for Breast Cancer Research & Awareness!WCS Board Member, Jeremy Mullins, having fun at the festival with his children.
Our cosmetology students have been working very hard learning new skills at Inspire College of Cosmetology recently. Under the direction of their instructor, Nicole Lawrence, 14 young women from the Warsaw Area Career Center are keeping busy learning how to perform facials, manicures & pedicures, waxing services, color treatments, styles, cuts, and much more! Be sure to check out the school's website and contact them if you are interested in making an appointment.
