Yesterday Miss Bassett's Nutrition & Wellness class had fun making breakfast burritos in the foods lab. Each group chose a recipe and which toppings they'd like to include. The finished products looked delicious! 



Congratulations to Warsaw Area Career Center's very own, Dena Lancaster, on receiving the Golden Apple Award recently! We are so proud of and thankful for you!

From WCHS Principal, Troy Akers: Mrs. Lancaster is everywhere!  She has volunteered for many activities for students and with her colleagues.  Her classes are always engaging and students often speak of highly of their experiences with Mrs. Lancaster. 

Dena worked really hard to give her students a realistic interview scenario when she organized the Community Led interviews before the break.  She also attended the SEL Summit and has volunteered for multiple after school events recently including Quiz Bowl, judging at the FFA District competition, and being on USG. 
Under the direction of student Executive Chef, Tristan Collins, & student General Manager, Micah Hall, the following specials will be featured this week in the Blue Apron.

Chefs Special =   Parmesan Crusted Pork Chop: Delicate cajun style pork chop served with Chef Choice Potatoes and Creole Sauce

Soup of the Day = Creamy New England Clam Chowder prepared the traditional way
bowl $4.00 cup $3.00

Salad Special = Wedge Salad Iceberg lettuce topped with bacon, diced Roma tomatoes, green onions and a buttermilk Bleu Cheese dressing
$5.00

Boxed Lunch = Ham and cheese served on an onion roll with German mustard, lettuce, and tomato served with baked beans, chocolate chip cookie, chips and Ice Mountain bottled water
$7.00

Dessert Special = Lemon Cheesecake w /Balsamic Strawberries: A rich, sweet and tart combination topped with fresh whipped cream
$4.00 

As we draw closer to the end of the school year, our weekly Chef specials are served until supplies last and are subject to change without notice. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and will do our best to keep our guests updated on any changes to the menu.

Please email reservations, pre-orders, and carry out orders to blueapron@warsawschools.org. Blue Apron hours are Tuesday's and Wednesday's 11:00 am-1:00 pm. We are no longer open on Thursday's. (Wednesday, May 9th will be our last day open this scholastic year.)

The Warsaw Fire Department came to visit Chef Bragg's culinary students in the Blue Apron today for a fire safety training course. The students were able to use a fire extinguisher simulator and learned the importance of keeping up to date on fire safety equipment and procedures in restaurants. 

After the training, the students, staff, and firefighters enjoyed an awesome lunch prepared by Chef Bragg & his students. 

Special thanks to WFD for taking time out of their busy schedules to invest in our students!

We are super proud of Mrs. Kincaid's Landscape Management class for their continued hard work with the WACC Courtyard project. They are now working on putting pea gravel down in the walkways and will soon start planting items for their edible garden. We can't wait to watch their progress this spring! Great job students!!
