Hi! I am Julia Kincaid and I teach Food Science and Landscape Management I & II in our Agriculture Department. I attended the University of Missouri- Columbia. I am happily married with three kids and one granddaughter. We spend our time on each other going to my youngest's dance performances, or my son's baseball games, and sometimes we get to run away and do something new.

Which class is my favorite? Well, I love food. I love growing it, harvesting it, cooking it, eating it, and discovering how to use it as medicine. So both classes are right up my alley. I love sharing what I have learned with other people who might discover that some part of it is their passion too.

I run a community garden over by the hospital called The Garden of Feedin'. This summer I will be leading a Gardening Club to help tend our WACC/Art courtyard to, hopefully, get our new Food Forest settled in.

I wanted to change the world. So I became a teacher.

Thanks, Mrs. Kincaid, for allowing us to showcase you today in celebration of National CTE Month!
Francisco Ramirez is a senior here at WCHS/WACC and has taken many Career Center classes, including: Design Processes, Intro to Accounting, Intro to Manufacturing, PLTW Honors Civil Engineering & Architecture, PLTW Honors Principles of Engineering. In his spare time, Francisco runs cross country & track and field for WCHS.  He was recently the recipient of the Center of Excellence: Best Apprentice Award at his internship with Miller Consulting Group of Warsaw. He has also earned many NLC all-conference awards in both track & field and cross country. Upon graduation this June, Francisco plans to attend college & major in mechanical engineering. He also hopes to continue his running career in college.

Congratulations, Francisco! The WACC is proud of you!
Lynnae Haan: Business & Computer Science Educator

Ms. Haan attended Grace College in Winona Lake, IN. She teaches Project Lead the Way: Computer Science Essentials (which is her favorite), Web Design I, Networking I & II, and Computer Tech Support. Lynnae has also enjoyed being a guest speaker for the last two years at the Non-Tradition Employment for Women Conference that the WACC sponsors. She lives in the area with two awesome roommates and a dog. For fun, she loves to go camping, hiking, kayaking, cooking, do crossword puzzles, work at the Light Rail Cafe as a baker, work on the Dixie Boat, attend trivia night in town, and watch the Bulls play. A few fun facts about Ms. Haan: she taught swim lessons to people (toddlers-adults) but loved business as well- computer science was kind of on accident but she loves it now; she's never seen the Harry Potter movies; and hates monopoly, texting, & tomatoes.

Special thanks to Ms. Haan for providing this awesome information & allowing us to showcase her during National Career & Technical Education Month. We are so thankful for all of our wonderful CTE teachers!
