Mrs. Hopper's Broadcasting students visited their dual credit partner, Huntington University. Students enjoyed a day filled with hands-on activities, learning about HU's Digital Media Arts Program (Broadcasting, Film, Animation, and VR), screening films and helping critique HU student work.  It was a day packed full of fun and developing friendships with HU's amazing DMA professors.
This past Monday, 14 Broadcasting and Film Students from the WACC headed to Indianapolis for the 2018 Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Annual (IASB) Conference.  Special sessions included an impressive line up of Hoosier Radio/Television personalities, Professional Film Makers, the Senior VP Programming for iHeart Media, behind the scenes staff, college professors, and an IASB Alumni Panel (From IASB Award Winners to Working Professionals).  Students were able to ask lots of questions to learn more about their future careers and how to be successful.

Mrs. Hopper's Interactive Media Video Editing Class was in the halls filming today. Using exactly 16 shots, they will answer the question to "What’s inside the locker?" It can be a comedy, tragedy, etc. They have the freedom to choose their shots and feel to the film as they learn how to storyboard and properly compose shots. As a way to showcase the basics of video editing they have mastered, they will edit their projects utilizing Adobe Premiere CC.

If you know someone who is an aspiring Video Editor, be sure to tell them about Video Editing Class. After taking it, they can take other Videography and Television Classes.
