The Indiana Association of Agriculture Educators recently announced the District II Outstanding Teachers and our very own Agriculture Education Teacher & FFA Advisor, Jacob Riley was selected. He will be recognized and awarded at the IAAE Summer Workshop & Banquet in June.

Jacob joined the WACC four years ago and has been an integral part of the Warsaw FFA Chapter & Agriculture Program. Mr. Riley implemented the CASE Curriculum & has received several grants for continued training with this curriculum- including the most recent  $1,500 CHS Foundation Grant. He continues to lead the Warsaw FFA Chapter into many new adventures & accomplishments- including most recently advising the Senior Parliamentary Procedure Team into a 4th place finish at the Indiana FFA State level.

Congratulations Mr. Riley! The Warsaw Area Career Center is so thankful to have you on our team!

Anais is a current sophomore here at WCHS/WACC and is in our Gone Boarding Program with Miss Miller. She has also taken Intro to Manufacturing, Child Development, Advanced Child Development, & Preparing for College and Careers.

Anais says she's super thankful for the experiences she's gained in the WACC classes she's taken so far. Preparing for College & Careers definitely opened her eyes to the real world. She decided to take Intro to Manufacturing because she is interested in using different materials for building projects and is looking forward to taking Welding next year. Anais also enjoyed the knowledge she gained from her child development classes with Ms. Renbarger.

In her spare time, Anais plays Rugby and works hard to be an honor roll student. As for her plans for graduation, Anais isn't sure what career she wants to pursue yet, but knows she'd like to go to college & would love to own a business someday.

Mrs. Lancaster's Adult Roles & Responsibilities classes had the opportunity to participate in community led interviews on Monday. We had 75 students being interviewed by 21 Community Leaders. There were teachers, Counselors, Mutual Bank, Depuy, The Sheriff's Office, The Winona Lake Fire Department, Zimmer Biomet, Tree of Life, and Grace College representatives.

This marks the 6th year Mrs. Lancaster has hosted this event and it was the best-by far!! Students dressed for success, created resumes and got REAL life experience! We love our Community Leaders and their time and abilities that they graciously give each semester to our students.
