Mrs. Kincaid's PLTW Civil Engineering/Architecture class is working on modeling Architectural Features!
Each student chose a particular architectural style (Adobe, Colonial, Saltbox, etc) and is creating a model that exemplifies a feature of that style (roof design, window arches, entryway, etc.).
                                                            Project-based learning is fun-based learning!

The Warsaw Area Career Center is proud to welcome back Ms. Caitlin Dian as an additional full-time FACS Teacher.

Caitlin graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Vocational/FACS Education.

She is teaching Interpersonal Relationships, Adult Roles and Responsibilities, Preparing for College and Careers, and Interior Design. IPR is her favorite because communication skills are important and she has discovered that many adults have never learned this valuable skill.

Caitlin shared a little bit more about herself below. Welcome back to the WCS family, Caitlin!

“I like horror movies, documentaries about true crimes, listening to audiobooks (preferably murder mysteries, good food, snuggling with my dog, going to Indy Wrestling shows, and Halloween.
The important people/pets in my life include Joel (partner in crime), Kobain (stepson 8), Burt (dog/my baby), and Rhiannon, Bowie, & Ali (cats).
Favorite food: Anything cheese, covered in cheese, cheese... Mexican food will forever make me happy, mostly because a lot of it is covered in queso.... don't judge me on my love of cheese!
Color: Black
Games: Anomia, left-right-center, deer in the headlights, pass the pigs, BANG!
Interesting fact: I am allergic to pork (I live a rough life without bacon, no turkey bacon is not the same)
Also-I do a 31 days of Halloween when October hits, so be ready for those outfits!”
The Warsaw Area Career Center is proud to welcome another full-time Agriculture Instructor & FFA Advisor: Miss Breanna Breske.

Breanna recently graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Agriculture Education. She has a tremendous love and passion for anything agriculture-related and enjoys being able to promote the agriculture industry to the public.

Breanna is teaching Natural Resources, Horticulture, Food Science, Intro to Ag (for the 8th graders), and Exploring Ag A. Her favorite class to teach is probably horticulture because she LOVES PLANTS and everything to do with them. She also really enjoys teaching the middle schoolers!

In her own words: "I decided to become an educator because I had two awesome agriculture teachers who pushed me and really showed me that this was the career path for me. I love educating people on where their food comes from and seeing that "lightbulb" moment on students face when they learn something new."

On a personal level, Breanna is getting married at the end of October this year, has 3 cats, loves tacos, & enjoys spending time with family.

The WACC is excited to have had Miss Breske join our WCS family!
