The Blue Apron is a student-run full-service restaurant, open Tuesday & Wednesday from 11:00 – 1:00 pm.
In the French cuisine, the color of an apron worn by the staff denotes the level of mastery. The Blue Apron is known for it's “student in training” approach. Our students are receiving both high school and college credit while enrolled in the program.
The Warsaw Area Career Center Radio & TV Production students recently aired with their first ever fully live show with on the scene reporting during Enrichment on May 17th. WACC TV students surveyed other students about their interests and questions. All pieces on that Thursday's newscast were requests by students. We saw a variety of investigative pieces, human interest stories, features, entertainment, and even a behind the scenes look at WACC-TV. Topics ranged from mold and temperature fluxes to this summer's World Cup picks....from stopped trains to life hacks and fun facts...even some student made commercials and movie trailers. TV Production students were doing some on the scene reporting as the EMT classes helped to teach lifesaving skills and as Landscaping classes continued to wrap up their courtyard remodel. Even though there were some minor bumps during the live show, the Radio/TV students were able to record it all and send it out to students & staff to watch later. Mrs. Hopper's students put in an enormous amount of work into this production & it was awesome! Great job everyone!
