Ivy Tech is excited to announce the first Dual Credit Student Transition evening event scheduled for November 2 at Ivy Tech – Warsaw. The goal is to provide information and connection points for dual credit students and their parents who might be or are attending Ivy Tech – Warsaw. The Systems Office and local marketing have been sending information to junior and senior students who have taken an Ivy Tech dual credit course.
The highlights of the event are below and on the attached flyer. Note that there is an RSVP link for the students and parents below.

The Warsaw Building Trades classes recently hosted an open-house to show off the house the spent this school year building. Under the direction of their instructor, Eric Taylor, thirteen students built this home for local Warsaw resident, Trent Smith, in Cherry Creek Manor.This year's Building Trades students were: Seth Conley, Nicolas Dorman, Ruben Esparza, Chase Hamilton, Zachary Howard, Ian Jones, Elian Mejia, Frank Porraz, Tomas Rivera, Hunter Scott, Brady Stout, Juan Tepo and Cole Wooldridge. These students not only learned skills in roofing, painting, concrete, siding and more, but also earned dual credit through Ivy Tech Community College. Many of them will be graduating this week with more than 15 college credits!
Congratulations to our students on a job well done and to Trent and his soon-to-be-wife, Meredith Hollar, on their beautiful new home!
Warsaw Area Career Center Director, Ronna Kawsky, was proud to honor Krista Metzger today as the first Cosmetology Academy graduate from WCHS/WACC. Krista not only earned dual credit & completed the state licensing exam to earn her certification, but will also graduate with Technical Honors next Friday evening. She even has already been offered a job at a local salon. Congratulations, Krista! The WACC is so proud of you!
Yesterday evening, the WACC Precision Machine Technology II students graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a certificate in Machine Tool Technology at the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, IN. These students completed a dual-credit, two-year program through the WACC & Warsaw's Ivy Tech Community College.
Brandon Bradley, Jacob Bradley, Kevin Dailey, Roger Fitzpatrick, Bishop Harrison, Larry Hollar, Miguel Juarez Cervantes, Johnathan McGurn, Andrew Mevis, Ethan Miller, & Craig Ronk.
Corinna, WCHS Senior, is currently taking Honors Criminal Justice which is a dual-credit class through Ivy Tech Community College. In her spare time, Corinna plays tennis, is part of the National Honor Society, a volunteer in her church's children ministry program, and enjoys being with her friends & family. Corinna is proud to not only be graduating in the top 10% of her class but to also be an athletic and academic scholar. She plans to attend Ball State University in the fall and major in either criminology or social work.
