On Monday, November 25th, the Warsaw FFA Chapter will host its 16th Annual Community Appreciation Supper & Member Workers’ Experience Auction in the Warsaw Community High School Cafeteria.  The evening will begin with a free chili and hot dog supper that will be served from 5:30-7:00 p.m. FFA members will be serving supper to show their appreciation for the support local businesses and community members have provided to the chapter over the years.  A silent and live auction will be available during the evening with many decorative crafts, local business donations, baked goods, and gift baskets for your bidding pleasure.

Also during the evening, the Warsaw FFA will host a Member Worker Experience where FFA members volunteer four hours of community service in return for a monetary donation from the highest bidder to our chapter to support activities throughout the year. Some of the activities include state and national conventions, career development events, leadership contests, supplies and materials for those contests and monthly chapter activities.  This annual event is a great way to support your local FFA chapter and impact its members! All community members and businesses are invited to join us for an evening of good food and fun!

Questions about the event can be directed to Warsaw FFA Chapter President Reagan Rowland {reaganrowland20@warsawschools.org}, Warsaw FFA Advisors Jacob Riley {jriley@warsawschools.org} or Breanna Breske {bbreske@warsawschools.org}.  Donations are also greatly appreciated and the Warsaw FFA would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the continuous and generous support of the community.

On Wednesday, August 28th, the Warsaw FFA Chapter held their monthly meeting.  At the meeting, a presentation by Dan Ransbottom, president of Echoes of the Past, was made with a donation. The Echoes of the Past Club from Kosciusko County invested in the future of agriculture by presenting a check to the Warsaw FFA chapter. Echoes of the Past donated $500 and t-shirts to the Warsaw FFA Chapter for helping them bind wheat with the organization this past July.  The donation will be used to help fund the variety of events that our chapter participates in throughout the year. Our chapter participates in Career Development Events (CDEs), Leadership Development Events (LDEs), community service projects, and attend leadership conferences at the Indiana FFA Leadership Center, at National FFA Convention in Indianapolis and at State FFA Convention at Purdue. We also host monthly meetings at our school to share information with our members. Each year most of the Warsaw FFA chapter members compete in at least one Career/Leadership Development Event or community service activity. Some common CDEs that our chapter participates in are forestry judging, crops judging, parliamentary procedure, public speaking, demonstrations, scrapbook, and livestock skill-a-thon. The Warsaw FFA chapter organizes community service projects and participates in several others each year. We host a Community Appreciation Supper in which we give back to our community by providing a free meal for them. We also adopt a family during the holiday season in conjunction with Combined Community Services to help make sure our community members have a great holiday season. Our Warsaw FFA chapter often covers a portion of expenses for conferences and conventions so that our members can gain valuable leadership skills, memories, and friends. The Warsaw FFA Chapter would not be able to complete the activities we do without help from the community. The Warsaw FFA Chapter would like to thank Echoes of the Past and all of our sponsors and community members for all of their help and support throughout the year.  Echoes of the Past is a nonprofit organization that pushes to preserve the history of agriculture in the country. The club promotes the preservation and restoration of antique tractors and other farm equipment, accessories, and artifacts.

The Warsaw FFA Chapter is hosting a Hacienda Gives Back Fiesta Fundraiser on Thursday, September 26th. When you present the attached token (paper or electronic), 20% of any guest checks, Fiesta to Go orders, and gift cards purchased on Thursday will come back to our FFA chapter. Feel free to send this token to family and friends- just remember that we cannot distribute the tokens on Hacienda property.

A few notes about Warsaw FFA:

FFA is an intracurricular student organization that makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, & career success through agriculture education.

The Warsaw FFA Chapter is very involved in not only our local community through various service projects, but also is active within the Indiana FFA Organization. You might see our FFA members around town helping with the Kosciusko County Ag Day, Young McDonalds Barn at the Fair, the Warsaw Parks Dept. Fall Family Fun Night, and many other events. At the state level, our chapter is involved in many career development events, camps, conventions, leadership development events, etc. The money we receive from our fundraiser goes back into our general account, which helps to fund all the events mentioned above.

We appreciate the unconditional & never-ending support of our community and the WCS staff!
